What Is BMS ? A new chapter has just been added to the book of Education; an undergraduate management course started by the Bombay University. The focus of this course is mainly to mould well-informed and creative managers of tomorrow. The aim is to create a very interactive, practical-knowledge-based course that will give the students a proper foundation to pursue a career in management related fields or even go in for further management studies. In an attempt to break away from the traditional teaching methodology followed by the University so far, the BMS Course has been designed to give the teacher and student far more freedom to implement practical teaching and learning methods based on the needs of the industry.
MMK College under the leadership of Principal Mr. G. B. Daryani has been very dynamic in its approach towards this course. It wants to give the best to the students, so as to provide the industry with dynamic, focussed and hard working young managers. The faculty is extremely dedicated and hard working. Their immense knowledge and experience coupled with their patience to reply to all the students' queries is definitely begun to arouse desire to learn and enthusiasm to participate in the various class activities, like presentations, role plays, debates, etc. Above all, the students are always ready to take on projects and assignments from the industry with their usual enthusiasm and elan. The Management is doing its best to provide the infrastructure necessary for this course.
Various student bodies that have been set up for the learning and application of management and have begun functioning in an effective and efficient manner to achieve the goals that they themselves have set. The key focus is to give students maximum exposure to practical experience by arranging as many guest lectures, seminars, workshops, industrial visits and self learning as possible. |
